I kept getting distracted by the beautiful pictures and then having to go before I could comment. *blush* For the record, my sister and I always had more fun with the camping-mats my uncle and aunt brought camping with them than we did with most of the activities the adults planned for us. There were others from the middle of the 19th century - which proves that stupidity is timeless. Kat - thanks for the link ! The modern frescoes are beautiful in a different way, but still beautiful. I can think back to when there might have been a time where I could have done such a thing... but I probably wouldn't have.
